Who am I?
My name is Saki Matsuura, I was born in Tokyo, Japan. My family moved to Singapore when I was 9 years old, and I have been living there since then. So both Japan and Singapore feels like home!
Graphic Design
I’m studying Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Arts. My area of interests are
- 3D Graphics (Blender, want to explore Cinema4D, Womp)
- Typography / Calligraphy
- Zines, Stickers, Publications
- I’m always open to explore various graphic design field!
About myself
I’ve always been a quiet, shy character my whole life: which I disliked, but started accepting recently. It may take time for me to approach and open up to people, however I have started being more courageous. My goal is to continue challenging myself throughout the DPS year.
Why DPS?
The decision to pursue DPS was easy at first, but not so much toward the end. I deeply reflected and asked myself numerous times if DPS is what I wanted to do. For record I have written more about preparation period in one of my blogs!
What I’m looking for in DPS
I believe DPS would be an amazing opportunity for me to learn about the system of the industry and gain knowledge, thus building up on my confidence. At the end of the year, I want to be able to reflect and be proud of my progress.
Placements
- I’m currently working as a full time intern at Fruity Booty, a London based lingerie/swimwear brand, where I’m able to experience various aspects of what it’s like working for a brand.
