- Embroidery design – briefly explain
This week’s tasks were more focused on office management. I think I was able to stay organised.
I reached out to customers who had purchased from Depop as I was concerned whether they had received the package, and I was relieved to know that they had. This taught me that if there is a concern inside me that keeps distracting me, I should act to solve it, or simply ask for help, especially because my coworkers are very friendly.
< SKU Spreadsheet >
Another task was to re-organise the SKU (stock keeping unit) spreadsheet, which was a massive spreadsheet filled with hundreds of SKUs for products Fruity Booty has ever released. This task gave me access to their Shopify account to look through and sort the products.
Quote from my journal: “Sorting the products and collections led me to learn different types of underwear shapes, and gaining knowledge on their past collections helped me understand the brand more –> what they have experimented with, what went well, how they evolved their style, etc. I often heard them talk about “Old Fruity”; I wondered what they meant, but examining their history I could see it. The “Old Fruity” has more unique patterns and is colourful, whereas the Fruity Booty now is rather chic and calm, yet there is an essence of cuteness. Which is what I really like about the brand!”
This makes me reflect that this could be intentional; they saw this as an opportunity for me to understand the brand more deeply.
< Sorting the office piece >
Just like the first trial at Fruity Booty, I was sorting the products that could be sent back to the warehouse. As I completed the same task, I noticed that I was now faster at sorting and reorganising items. I believe this is mainly because I started to recall the product names, and it was great to see that I’m progressing!

< Embroidery pattern >
The main focus of this week was refining and finishing the embroidery pattern, which will also be the goal for next week. Again, I am so grateful for this opportunity—it is fascinating to see my creativity and imagination realised. You can read more about the process here!
